Sam Griffiths was appointed to the post of Head Professional at Wrexham Golf Club at the start of 2016. Since joining Wrexham Golf Club Sam has established himself as a leading coach in the North Wales area.
After successfully completing the PGA training programme, he was appointed as a fully qualified PGA Professional at Clays Golf Centre, the North Wales Centre of Excellence for the Golf Union of Wales. Whilst working at Clays, Sam coached players from complete beginners, to Welsh international golfers.

As the Head Professional at Wrexham, Sam is responsible for the tuition of a number of different groups, ranging from adult beginners, ladies classes, schools, and disability groups. He recently established the Sam Griffiths Junior Academy, where he plans to deliver training to a wide range of children of various levels and ages.
With the ambition of making the Wrexham Golf Club Junior Section the best in Wales, he has a real passion for junior coaching. Wrexham G.C now has over 100 juniors who attend the weekly classes and a junior section that is consistently moving forward. In 2014 he was appointed the North Wales Nursery Squad coach for the Golf Union of Wales, and the County Coach for the Denbighshire and Flintshire girls.

Due to his passion for coaching, Sam has looked to develop his skills further by attending CPD courses in Golf Swing Biomechanics, Disability Coaching, developing Elite Juniors, and Developing Tour Players Short Games. As a TPI level one coach, he continuously strives to utilize the ability of his pupils to ensure that they are all capable of reaching their golfing potential.
